I love Adam and all his looks and attires.
But I have preferences.
I like his hair down, rather than up.
I like the black nails.
I wish they didn’t put so much make up on him when he performs … he just does NOT need caked on foundation!!! I actually hate the amount of unnecessary make up they cake to his face. wtf?
I don’t mind the glitter and eccentricities, but go with the rules and play up one feature, play down another. Not both at the same time.
I do wish he would sometimes, like he did on Idol, just come out plain and bring it musically, rather than pull out all the theatrics – all the time.
I prefer the bottom picture. I wish he had come to the AMA’s in those clothes, dancers in clothes worn below, no sexual antics, and just brought it. Shown everyone his abilities and talents raw.
I think its reached a point where Adam, for ME, needs to draw back and just be raw talent. I don’t want the show to always be there, sometimes overpowering his vocal presence. Every performance doesn’t have to be a full out production. Sometimes I just want to see that cutie, who gets hidden behind too much make up and glitter, sing his heart out and mesmerize my ears with his beautiful voice. Without being distracted.
What are your thoughts?

I’m not voting because I like the chameleon in Adam. Prefer his hair down, prefer less makeup.
He enjoys the theatrical aspects and is masterful at it, but it definitely takes a lot of extra energy to keep the hair dyed, nails painted, everything choreographed and costumed. I’d like him to do all that as long it does not become a chore. When it becomes a chore, I’d like him to feel free to kick back and simplify. Don’t want him to feel trapped, even if it is a gilded image cage of his own creation. Want Adam to live as long as Kris Allen. Plus, simplifying would be good for the planet.
Like this music video much better than the live ultra-serious AMA performance. It feels much more fun, and Adam shows a great sense of humor (especially when trying to look satanic).
Lol – I do like all his looks. Like you speak of it becoming a chore to him to keep up, sometimes it feels like a chore to watch – a distraction. Don’t get me wrong, though, I do enjoy all of his looks. But like once in a while I don’t feel like doing my own hair and make-up – I’d like to see him natural, too (with nails, tho … and either no liner, or like on Oprah – light liner). It’s just nice once in a while. Especially during a performance.
