i absoultly am in love with adam lambert! he is so amazing! i listen to his cd every morning. i made my mom take me out to walmart at midnight just so i could get his cd! he is definitly a lot better than kris allen..he is my idol and i want to meet him someday. its on my ”bucket list” lol. but seriously i think its so stupid that people judged him because he’s gay. this is what i think, he’s singing music and that has nothing to do with his sexual orentation!
I’m more Scissor Sisters than Led Zepplin…so Im thrilled for some of the same reasons you guys seem irritated. Since I heard him sing Ring of Fire I been screaming that its about time we have a male singer breaking through to mainstream music with his unique style singing songs exactly like FYE. I LOVE IT!! I’m salivating to hear more. Theres a time and a place for him to wail. Its coming. He doesnt have to do it in every verse of every song.
I was really hoping for more of a ” CrawI through the fire” rock vocals. What happen to the “rock god” ?? did he sell out to the techno dance club sound.??

Sounds decent, but feels a little slow or something. It’s an okay intro for the general public to his style and voice, but I’d prefer it bigger, stronger, faster. I like the innuendo threaded through-out however. Could be good starting material for some remixes & club play. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album.
I believe Adam’s voice is THE voice of this decade and he has the persona to be THE entertainer of this decade but he has been hooked up with writers and producers some of whom do not showcase Adam’s unique artistic capabilities well. Instead of them “stretching” to invent new beats, rhythms, melodies and musical creativity to match Adam’s versatility and creativity, they are yanking him from outta space to accompany those, monotonous, tired ole beats that mediocre talents sing. Then, to make sure we know it’s Adam, they write in a few remarkably high notes for him to layer at the end of the “mundane pop-tunes.”
There is no “soul,” no artistic hook in the two singles Adam has released (except for the clutched key change at the end of TFM and ADAM’S VOICE!). I remember when other highly innovative singers of their decades came on the scene — to name only a few with the gift of being able to transport listeners to a new and different consciousness: Josephine Baker, Billy Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Prince, Aretha Franklin, Roy Orbison, Joan Baez, The Beatles, Queen, Zeppelin, The Motown group, and a lot of others who were not deposed from out of space by lesser beings.
But, in fairness to Adam and the album, when I saw that the contemporary music innovators Muse (Soaked) and Lady Gaga (Fever) have also contributed to his album, hope again welled in me that Adam’s voice might be liberated from the dull, boring computerized thumps contrived by his present writing and production posse. (I notice that Allison’s music has the same afflicted beats.). Love the single cover – complement those threatening lyrics.
