Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, Danny Gokey – Final Three Showdown TONIGHT!

Yep folks – it’s Tuesday night again! The night we wait for alll week long!

It’s been predicted from Day One that Adam Lambert would make it to the Final Two. Danny Gokey was always the other prediction, but then Kris Allen crept up on him in recent weeks. Danny does have talent, I’ll agree to that. Kris too. But there’s something about both of them I find unappealing.

I know all the little girls think Kris is cute and in tweendom that counts more than if he is the best singer or not. He can sing, sure. To me, though, his voice isn’t all that strong. Nothing he’s sang all season has really knocked me on my ass and said “Hey! Check ME out!” I usually forget what he sings as soon as he’s done singing it. I like his Everyday-Man-Style of jeans and tee, but his overall appearance is too boy-next-door. Too innocent. No real personality shines through. There’s no excitement. No *Big Moment*. He’s kinda ….boring. I’d never buy his album.

Danny has a great voice. I think often he picks the wrong songs, though. What was he thinking trying to sing “Dream On” by Aerosmith??! Destruction! At least he was able to laugh at himself, though. Picking the right songs is part of being an artist. Again, with Danny, nothing he’s sung has stuck with me past his moment on the stage. Perhaps it’s not just his singing but also his stage presence? There just isn’t any. It’s hard to get excited by someone who doesn’t magically work the stage and have the ability to own a song. I like Danny. I do. I think he’s a stronger competitor than Kris but Danny’s also …. boring. I wouldn’t buy his album either.

That brings us to our SuperStar in the Making – Adam Lambert! Adam, Adam, Adam……Adam’s musical background training and experience, and natural talent, melded with his innate ability to pick the right songs, interact with the studio AND home audiences, and appeal to the judges make you WANT to make his dreams – come – true.  There isn’t one song I don’t remember Adam singing this season. I can remember every song, every outfit worn, where he was on the stage, what he did, the judges reactions …. everything! He has made such an impact on American, as well as International, audiences he is destined to be a SuperStar!

I’m very excited waiting to see what these guys pick for themselves to sing, and what the Judges Picks will be, too! I don’t participate in spoilers so I have no information to share with you.
